How to Add Google Analytics to Blogger


Google analytics track blog traffics. It reports you regularly and gives you an idea about your audience.

Steps-

1. Go to the Google Analytics homepage. Click on "Sign up". You can use your existing Gmail account.

2. Next, under "New Account" section, click on "Website" and, give the information it wants. Follow the image given below-

Then, insert a check mark under Data sharing setting and, click on "Get Tracking ID"

When the following box will appear, you have to accept it.


N.B-
If you lose the above code, follow this steps to get it back. Otherwise, go to step 3.
After signing in to Google Analytics, choose your website. From the left sidebar click on "Tracking Code" under "Property>Tracking Code" section. You will get the code here.

3. You will see 2 codes. You have to copy those codes and paste it in your blog.

4. Copy the first code and go to blogger dashboard. Go to "Settings> Other". You will find a small box under the Google Analytics section. Paste the code 1 here and click on "Save settings".

5. Go to "Theme". Click on "Backup" to prevent any unwanted damage to blog. Now, click on "Edit HTML". Click once inside the HTML coding box and press "ctrl+F" to bring search box. Search for </head>. Then, copy the second code and paste it above </head>

Click on "Preview theme". If it takes load successfully, click on "Save theme".
Done! Google will come to the blog and verify it. After that, you can see the blog's analytical reports in Google analytics.
